Level 2, Day 6: From Stressed to Sleep

Today’s practice was kind of interesting, seeing as Level 2 has been posing problems for me in terms of being able to get mentally relaxed.

Shortly (~15 minutes) before I did my BrainEv practice, a situation popped up that made me very stressed- totally activated my “flight or fight” response and sent a surge of adrenaline pumping through me. So when I started the practice, my first priority was slowing down my breathing and getting physically relaxed.

And I got that under control within a few minutes, and mental relaxation came by the time I was about 10 minutes in. Then before I knew it, I was halfway through the audio and falling asleep! Guess I got a little too relaxed 😛

I did wake up a minute or two after the end of the audio, and then decided I’d stay and rest for another 10 minutes. Interesting practice 😛
